Here's an
interesting link about how the Corona virus changed education globally. However, the result of "some studies" should be taken with a pinch of salt, as Enrico Turrin, Deputy Director/Economist at the Federation of European Publishers writes: "Research suggests that online learning has been shown to increase retention of information, and take less time, meaning the changes coronavirus have caused might be here to stay." This kind of statement - especially when we know the outcomes of the E-READ initiative - raises a red flag with me (not least due to the phrasing), so I dug a little. The alleged "some studies" on the benefits of online education refer to a single link: to an infographic by a company offering online training tools for companies! So basically an ad for online training for businesses is the basis to say that students will benefit from online schooling...)
