1. Introduction

The year 2020 has certainly been one of the most unusual for all of us. I hope and trust that you are all well or recovering. Today we have heard about travel restrictions to Britain and further strict measurements in various countries. So, the Online Educa (OEB) in Berlin last month has not and BETT in January will not be opportunities to meet and exchange ideas with colleagues. Actually, travelling, even though I thoroughly miss meeting people in person, will probably never be the same again and we will have to get used to doing so many things virtually. Presumably everything that is planned for the first half of 2021 will have to be virtual. At least we have the technology ...

And therefore, rather than lament missed chances, I would like to invite everybody who wants to welcome the New Year with some of the EEPG colleagues to a very informal virtual meeting - just for a chat with colleagues on 11th of January 2021 at 17:00 Berlin time.
